Meet Emily Nicole Perez, M.D.

Dr. Emily Nicole Perez, a General Surgeon specializing in Hand Surgery who practices in Atlanta, Georgia, is dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of hand and upper extremity conditions.

Dr. Perez completed her undergraduate education in Health and Exercise Science with a minor in Spanish at Wake Forest University. She was also a varsity athlete on the Wake Forest Demon Deacon Dance Team.

Dr. Perez then earned her medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine, where she was involved in many student organizations and service groups.

Dr. Perez completed her residency in General Surgery at Atlanta Medical Center, and served as Chief Surgical Resident in her final year. Following residency, Dr. Perez continued her training in Hand Surgery at Jackson Memorial Hospital, which is affiliated with the University of Miami Health System in Miami, Florida.

While there, she gained vast experience in treating hand and upper extremity pathology. During her training, Dr. Perez presented at multiple local and national meetings, including the Georgia State Medical Society, South Eastern Surgical Society, the National Medical Association and Institute of Medicine.

Dr. Perez spends her time listening to patients’ concerns and helping to develop a comprehensive plan to optimize their function. Her top priority is creating informed patients.

In her spare time, Dr. Perez loves spending time with her family and friends. Her hobbies include exercising, dancing, reading, cooking and traveling.
